Unawares in the shallow end of 2017, the mentors from each institution gathered at DEC. Global Hope has had a mentor meeting with the mentors from each institution to exchange their mentoring information and discuss about the mentee students once a month. This meeting became a more meaningful time because of the volunteers, who were selected as Hope Leader scholarship students last time, joined.
After introducing themselves at first, they prepared the next class on the topic of dream. They started the mentor education with the activity of drawing their own dreams. Global Hope supporting creative education doesn’t draw an ordinary dream! With ideal position to dream their own dream lying on the large paper, a friend drew the outlines and they drew their dreams as much as they liked within their own outlines. We could know the dreams of mentors and scholarship students are from the teachers to an UN activist wearing GucXX belt.
The mentors have never taught the mentee class directly until last year. As each mentor’s experience has been more than 2 years, he has grown up to be able to do simple class activities.
Watching the mentors who used to be the only learning students become the excellent teachers teaching the students directly, we expect the future of Myanmar cultivating real self-reliance. What kind of dreams are the students going to dream in the dream class with these mentors?
