Job Experience Festival
The Local children gathered and were babbling around DEC boarding school in the afternoon on Saturday. Why were these many children watching DEC boarding school with their eyes twinkling? Let’s get back to the evening of January 5th to find out the reason.
The children having a break after returning from the ‘Day of Sharing’ event on January 5th gathered again in the evening. That was why they prepared for the second job experience festival, ‘Job’s Day’. As the students had an experience in proceeding last year, they initiatively divided groups and began the job by job meeting about booth management. What a smart job the students made on preparing for the festival like deciding which activities to do, booth decoration, deciding who does what, and arrangement of necessary materials. Their much more improved skill than last year naturally made me feel very proud.
Today’s festival began after being all prepared for 2 weeks since the first meeting on the 5th like purchasing the materials and arrangement of activities. The festival began with each boarding school’s principal speech. The students of respective 8 booths of engineer, teacher, doctor, policeman, photographer, artist, musician, and fashion designer shared prepared activities with the local friends. 6
The faces of the children participating in the interesting activities prepared at each booth were so bright. I hope that their participation of the job experience festival would be helpful for boarding school students and the local students to think over various kinds of jobs and find their own dreams.
Sharing Hope Together!
